In need of a cleaning, I picked up this product to assist in cleaning my washer and making it smell fresh. The amazon product came promptly and was easy to use. I placed 1 ball in an empty washer and put the washer on the drum cleaner setting.
There are a total of 6 descaler balls included in the package. Per the company this cleaner/ball is eco-friendly, with zero waste, and can be used on any washer machine. I used it on my HE front load washer; it was time to try something. It had started to have a slightly sour smell to it.
Pros:
- The drum smelled clean
- The product removed a good amount of the stuck-on stains and debris (in its defense it was over 8 years of no cleaning)
Cons:
- The product did not completely remove the stains, but I believed it softened them up a little
- I had to use quite a bit of elbow grease and cleanser to remove the remaining stains
While I don’t think this product is a great deep cleaner I would definitely use it in between deep cleanings as a maintenance product.
