Water that Good Ole H2O

Water is essential to losing weight and keeping yourself healthy and hydrated.  So on my morning stroll through Whole Foods I found the water section.

*Side Note* that store is just too cool.  I occasionally just walk through it not buying anything...you know passing time and seeing what new products I can discover.

Back to the water.  Well there is an entire aisle of different size bpa free water bottles and glass bottles you can choose from.  I have a water dispenser at home that supports those 5 gallon jugs.  I absolutely love it.  At Whole Foods you can refill you bottles for about 0.39/gallon or you can go to Walmart or Publix and refill for about 0.33/gallon.  Either way my point here is that it is cheap filtered water but delicious.  So there is no reason anyone shouldn't be getting their recommended amount water intake per day.

Water is where it's at and yes sometimes it is a chore for me to get the whole gallon down, but that is why they make enhancers.  But be careful with some of the products they call "enhancers" these days check the ingredients.  Everything that says it is "Healthy" is not always healthy for you.

So my health friends and those striving to be healthy by taking it one step at a time:

GET A JUG AND FILL IT UP WITH WATER

Henna - Natural Hair Coloring

Ok so on this past Wednesday I took a big leap of faith and dyed my hair with Henna. I wanted a reddish tint instead of the orangey color i have been wear foe close to a year.

After many hours, websites, and YouTube videos of research I just went for it.

I used the following ingredients:
-100mg of Henna
-juice of 1 lemon
-3 drops of peppermint oil
-about 2 cups of green tea

Mix all the ingredients up in a wooden bowl with a plastic spatula and made basically a mess of mud.

I let the mud sit on my hair for about 3 1/2 hours, then conditioned it out (note i said condition not shampoo).

The picture shows the before on the left and results on the right.

I am highly satisfied with my color. It cost me less than $5 to achieve. I will definitely be doing this again in a couple of months.
